When envisioning certain graphics projects, like the press pass assignment, it sometimes helps to consider what has gone before. Here are a bunch of press passes that have been uploaded to the world wide web. I don’t own them, I didn’t make them, and I don’t know how they got up there. You may draw inspiration from them as you contemplate the design of your press pass. Note that looking crappy in some ways adds to the press pass’ authenticity. It’s not all about pretty – your press pass should look “credible” or “official” and not “groovy” or “in yo’ face” to be most effective. You need to get a reporter behind the police line, not come up with an arty Facebook profile photo. Your press pass may be full-color RGB, and must meet all of the criteria outlined in the Press Pass Project post.
